“KUDOS TO OUR CORONA WARRIORS”
While the worldwide Pandemic caught everyone unaware, Bravehearts from Government, Industries, NGOs and many volunteers were busy combating the looming dangerous situation. Shroffs Foundation Trust took the initiative to complement the efforts of the Government in the fight against COVID-19 through an array of relief measures and preventive as well as curative services. In the fight against the unknown, everyone chose to support each other individually as well as institutionally.
Government and Public hospitals were overburdened with the Covid 19 treatments, screenings, testing, creating awareness and assuring the relatives of patients as Private clinics and hospitals were not fully equipped at initial stage due to lockdown issues.
Shroffs Foundation Trust, a frontrunner for social causes offered its relentless service to cater to the rising demand of providing treatment to the ever increasing number of patients right from March 2020. SFT's Ramkrishna Paramhansa Hospital was declared a ‘Covid Care Centre' from 1st of July 2020 . All the required norms and precautions were fulfilled, checked and verified by a team of Government officials and doctors.
A full fledged Covid Isolation & treatment ward with a capacity of 15-20 patients was made operational with a dedicated team comprising of experienced Doctors, nurses, lab-technicians, canteen staff and other ancillary service staff available round the clock, replete with all basics like PPE kits, masks, gloves, sanitizers etc.
- 140 patients have been successfully treated and discharged.
- Awareness campaigns pertaining to precautions to be taken for Covid 19 were organised in villages of Chhota Udepur.
- Masks and sanitizers distributed to migrant workers and villagers.
To add to Shrutibhabhi’s belief in the philosophy “Sahviryam karvavahay” – the joy of togetherness, - together we will overcome any hurdle or challenging situation like ‘CORONA’ has been proven right by our warriors.
The Foundation shall continue supporting the Government and the community till the impending crisis comes to an end.
