Shroffs Foundation Trust (SFT) was established in 1980 to uplift the lives of underprivileged communities living in the vicinity of Transpek Industry Ltd., a family enterprise. Through various social development projects, SFT started work as an NGO in the societal development field. The mission was singular - inclusive growth. It is a model organization where industry, community, voluntary organizations, academic institutions and government agencies get together for social benefit in the true spirit of public private partnership.

SAHAVIRYAM means the strength of togetherness. It is a philosophy that inspires and provides strength and meaning to all that we do at Shroffs Foundation Trust. It gives new shades of meaning, renewed vigour for living and an inspiration for being. It is the spirit of common endeavour for a noble cause. It is a means to collective happiness. Through empathy and support, we lift our society and community as a whole. And get awakened from our cocoon of isolation and make everyone happy. In short, make everyone prosper and experience abundance. Some call this inclusive development that is inherently sustainable. We call it “SAHAVIRYAM”.

SFT is involved and active in various community development programs along with the government and other NGOs. These are in the areas of Community Development, Natural Resource Development, Livelihood Programs, Health Programs, Education Programs and Research & Evaluation. SFT also runs institutions in health care, vocational guidance, agriculture services and home industry cooperatives. It’s primary domain is Kalali, Chhota Udepur, Pavi Jetpur, Paldi – Waghodia and Hodko ( Banni) in Gujarat.

We hope you find an area that matches your area of interest and sensitivity, so as to join the endeavour and experience SAHAVIRYAM. If any of our specific initiatives appeals to you, we will be delighted to share more and offer an opportunity to you to contribute to the society.

Vision

The teaching of Ramkrishna Paramhansa and Swami Vivekananda:

"Each soul is potentially divine. The goal is to manifest this divinity within, by controlling nature. Do this either by work, or worship or psychic control, or philosophy – by one, or more, or all of these – and be free. This is the whole of religion... Doctrines or dogmas or rituals or books or temples or forms are but secondary details."

Mission

"To assist the village population in improving their productivity, efficiency and creativity through services and goodwill, with the support of industries, academic institutions, voluntary and government agencies and with the guidance of competent and committed experts by knowledge, inputs and effective management of available resources viz. land, water, energy, livestock and people. To upgrade the quality of lives of everyone in the villages: the children, the youth, women, men and the aged, mainly through their own involvement, interest and initiative."
