Geeta Rani
Journey to Recovery at Shroffs Geriatric Care Center
In February 2024, 87-year-old Geeta Rani was admitted to Shroffs Geriatric Care Center after a severe hip fracture. Due to her age, surgery wasn’t an option, and her recovery depended on medication, care, and physical therapy. Upon arrival, she was bedridden, unable to walk, and fully dependent.
The center’s team created a personalized care plan, including medication, physical therapy, and help with daily activities. Despite slow progress, Geeta gradually improved—moving from immobility to sitting up, standing with support, and walking short distances with a walker.
Throughout her stay, she found joy in community activities, reconnecting with life’s pleasures. By October, Geeta left the center walking with a walker, a remarkable transformation from her bedridden state. Her recovery brought relief to her family and hope for the future.
