Success Stories

Vasava Rajuben Vasantbhai

Vasava Rajuben Vasantbhai, a 21-year-old from Dabka village in the Dediyapada block of Narmada district, completed her 12th grade with a 58% score. Her father, Vasantbhai, is 42 and works as a farmer, while her mother, Indiraben, also 42, manages the household. Vasava has four siblings: an older sister who is 17, another sister aged 14, a younger sister aged 11, and a 12-year-old brother. Their family owns 2 acres of land and keeps 5 buffaloes.
Despite financial hardships caused by her father’s alcohol addiction, which often strained their budget, Vasava was certain to pursue further education. Although college seemed financially unfeasible, she found out about vocational courses offered by SFT-VIVEC-Paladi (Vadodara) through a local information center in Dediapada.
She enrolled in a three-month Sewing Machine Operation Course provided under Thermax’s CSR Project at SFT-VIVEC-Paladi. During the course, she gained skills in stitching techniques, fabric cutting, and finishing. After completing her training, she was offered a position at Rishi FIBC in Padra with a monthly salary of ₹11,000 and accommodation. This job greatly improved her family’s financial situation.
With her new employment, Vasava is now able to support her siblings’ education and provide financial help to her mother. She is profoundly thankful to SFT-VIVEC and Thermax Projects for the opportunity that has positively impacted her family’s life.
Vasava’s experience has taught her the value of taking advantage of opportunities. Despite numerous challenges, her spirit and the right support helped her achieve her goals and make a significant contribution to her family and community.
