Our Story
Shroffs Foundation Trust (SFT) is a social service organization in Gujarat dedicated to the holistic development of underprivileged communities. Guided by the Sanskrit philosophy “Sahaviryam Karva Vahey”—which embodies the spirit of collective growth and shared prosperity—SFT emphasizes active community participation as the cornerstone of empowerment.
A key initiative of SFT is the development of Samaj Shilpis—local leaders and change agents—who drive transformation within their communities. By fostering leadership at the grassroots level, SFT aims to shift communities from cycles of deprivation to pathways of self-reliance and progress. The ultimate goal is to build a society where development is community-led, with institutions, governments, and funding bodies serving as enablers rather than primary drivers.
SFT believes that true community development is not dictated by an elite leadership but is a shared responsibility spanning local, regional, national, and global stakeholders. To support this vision, SFT collaborates with educational and training institutions, subject matter experts, government bodies, corporate partners, donors, and engaged citizens to harness the expertise and resources needed to fulfill the aspirations of the communities it serves.
For over three decades, Shroffs Foundation Trust (SFT) has been a catalyst for positive change in Gujarat, empowering tribal and rural communities through sustainable development initiatives. Our work spans health, education, skill training, and livelihood enhancement, transforming lives from survival to self-reliance.
